Historical water tank
In the village square there is a unique technical monument in form of a robust cylinder, hewn of a single and smooth-worked piece of granite, which used to serve as water reservoir. The German inscription on the reservoir says: "You, who want to drink all the time, come, I can water you every day." The tank served as water distributor and dates from 1818. It ingeniously provided water distribution into the separate houses of the village. Water was conducted from the wells bellow Želnava hills by wooden ducts and from the underground opened into the centre of the cylinder. The attached water piping was originally also made of wood, in particular of pine-tree stems drilled crude and connected with metal shrink rings. The monument has been listed since 1963 and had served its purpose till that year.
