From the former village beyond the Vydra valley survived several authentic Šumava cottages. One of the best-known  is so-called Stone House (Kamenný dům), where Karel Klostermann frequently visited his uncle and aunt. One can visit nearby rock formations Panna (Virgin), Baba (Old Hag) and Mnich (Monk) and then continue along the footpath to the bridge over the Vydra (Hálek's cottage used to be standing in this place). To get acquainted with another charming area in the surroundings of Srní, it is possible to follow Klostermann trail from Rokyta, across Horní Hrádky to Srní with information panels describing various details from life and work of Karel Klostermann including selected quotations. The instructive trail was opened on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the writer.
