Antýgl

Antýgl
Antýgl
The only preserved farmstead originally held by free guards (Králováci) is a listed cultural monument standing on the right bank of the Vydra. The gable of the front building displays the coat of arms of the udallers Králováci saying: "No One's Lord, No One's Servant". In 1500, a glass-works was founded here with one glass furnace referred to in local dialect as ein Tiegel, which gave Czech name to the place - Antýgl. Prayer beads (so-called "páteříky") were manufactured here that have been decorating the altar of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Srní to date. In present, Antýgl is a popular camping site with the possibility of lodging in the buildings.
