Klostermann lookout

The Klostermann lookout offers nice view into the valleys of the Vydra and the Křemelná rivers, as well as to the opposite standing Dračí skály (Dragon's Rocks). Nearby we can see a technical structure - so-called water lock. The water from the Mechov (Mosau) channel is lead through the underground feeder of 3,2 km in length into the accumulative reservoir located near the former settlement of Sedlo and from here across the water lock by the steal conduit with 215 meters of difference in elevation to the water power station at Čeňkova Pila (technical cultural monument).
The path from Srní to the Klostermann lookout leads past so-called Klostermann's cottage (in well-preserved Šumava architectonic style), where the films of the popular trilogy "Pod jezevčí skálou", "Za trnkovým keřem" and "Na pytlácké stezce" were shot.
