The large cast-iron chalice on the high pedestal stands up on the top of formerly Šibeniční and today Žižka's hill at the altitude of 618 metres above see level. The chalice has been standing here since 28th October 1924 when it reminded of the 500th anniversary of Jan Žižka's death. The place is accessible on foot from the square along the red-marked tourist path by Pod Kalichem street.
