The mountain peat-bog in the altitude of 1058-1075 metres is situated on the divide of the Vltava and the Otava rivers. An instructional trail with information panels leading along the wooden footpath runs through the whole area, offering views from an observation tower. A part of the peat-bog was exploited in the past. It is one of the coldest places in the Czech Republic (-41,6 °C recorded in 1987). The fen is inaccessible during winter season.
