Topography

Kvilda belongs amongst the most significant tourist centres of the Šumava mountains. With its altitude of 1065 metres above see level, it is the highest situated village in the Czech Republic. It lies amidst the beautiful Šumava plains. The cadastral area of the village includes the extinct village of Bušina as well as the nearby settlements of Františkov, Vydří Most, Hraběcí Huť, and Lesní Domky.
