The Elm Tree Rock natural heritage area stretches out near the village of Zátoň, on the southern slope of Boubín hill. The Elm Tree Rock is in fact a rock formation situated nearby Zátoň railway station; it gave its name to the entire protected territory, which serves as a protective area of the Boubín Virgin Forest Reserve. It is an extensive forest area with mostly fir and spruce beech woods and the best-preserved part of the former forests around Zátoň. The locality is accessible from Zátoň railway station along an unmarked path leading westwards towards Kubova Hu. The path passes the Elm Rock, with fine views of the very heart of the surrounding forests.
