Golden Path and Alley of Reconciliation

Golden Path and Alley of Reconciliation
Golden Path and Alley of Reconciliation
The Alley of Reconciliation was founded in place of the village originally called Táflova Huť, approximately 5 kilometres north of Kubova Huť in the Šumava Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Šumava), which had been settled in the past.  Three historic trees – two lime trees and one oak – commemorate former presence of people.
There are two sections of the Alley, one with the mixture of the Czech national trees, the lime trees, and the German national trees – the oaks. There were 34 trees planted and this part of the Alley ends directly in the overgrowth on the site of the original Táflova Huť settlement. The second part of the Alley consists of fruit trees. There is a rest place with information panels describing former coexistence of both nationalities in this borderline area of Šumava.
