The highest elevated railway station in the Czech Republic

The highest elevated railway station in the Czech Republic
The railway connecting Vimperk and Lenora was put into operation on 9th July 1900, with a railway station subsequently being built in Kubova Huť. Thanks to its position at 995 metres above sea level, it is the highest elevated railway station in the Czech Republic. The railway station in Kubova Huť became a very busy place with transport of timber during the World War II or aircraft parts for the Messerschmitt factory in Františkov near Kvilda. Moreover, there has always been a continuous influx of local people and tourists.
