Big and Little Radkov | Šumava Net - ubytování Šumava

The Velký Radkov settlement is located at the foot of the hill of the same name northwest of the town of Rejštejn, of which it is a part. The original architecture of Šumava cottages and memorial trees have been preserved in the village.

The first written mention comes from 1542.

A technical point of interest is the pitch furnace for processing resins for the production of cosmetics, built at the beginning of the 20th century. It was never in service.

Less than a kilometer from Velké Radkov is the solitude of Malý Radkov. It is part of the city of Hartmanice.

How will we get there:

By climbing along the blue tourist trail from Rejštejn (2 km), or along the green trail and cycle path from Radešov (2.5 km). From Hartmanice follow the blue sign and cycle path (5.5 km).
