The chapel is the only preserved building of the significant glass-making village of Hůrka (Hurkental) famous for the production of mirrors. The chapel was built in 1820 as a crypt of the Abele and the Hafenbrädel family of the glass-works proprietors. Rather destroyed chapel was reconstructed as a Memorial of the Victims of the Communist Abuse and the Bell of Reconciliation was situated therein. The foundations of the St. Vincent Church were recovered nearby the chapel.
