Laka Lake is the smallest and the most elevated lake in the Šumava mountains. Its surface is 2,53 hectares, the maximum depth is 3,9 m and it is fed with two feeders. There are several small floating islands with exuberant vegetation. In the 19th century, water of the lake was used as a source of drinkable water and as a propulsion of glass-cutting shops in the nearby glass-making village of Hůrka (today extinct).
