A fortification line consisting of so called "řopík" forts was built between 1937 and 1938 from Kubova Huť, past Zátoň and Lenora, to Stožec. The fortification was supposed to beat back the first attack of the enemy. 46 of 70 originally planned structures were completed. Partially filled up or overgrown with bush, the forts have remained in the countryside as silent reminders of the World War II.
