Hotel Annín
Annín is the youngest settlement falling into the cadastral community of Dlouhá Ves. It was founded in 1796 with the establishment of the glass-works by Augustin Muller of Vatětice, who named the valley according to his wife Anna. In his small glass plant he manufactured crystal glass and small glass prayer beads (so called "pateříky"). The era of the highest prosperity in Annín occurred in the mid-19th century, when the business was purchased by Josef Emanuel Schmidt, who started to manufacture pink and clear glass of the highest quality in here, that he even exported to England. He ensured building of the first hotel and bakery in Annín and owned the first power station in the village. Schmidt also initiated construction of the iron bridge and let build his tomb in shape of a chapel in Annín, where he was eventually buried. In 1910, Schmidt's son-in law, František Novotný, introduced as the first person in Austria-Hungary crystal glass polishing. Another modernization of the factory was carried out in 1934 by its new owner and Novotný's son-in-law, Karl Schell. The glass-works of Annín has been continuing in limited production to date. We should also mention that the first camping site in the Czech Republic was opened at the territory of Annín in 1960. Next to the glass-works we can also find a trout nursery.
